In this Lesson we will show you how to create a highlight where there should have been one or where you would like to add one. The photograph we used was fairly "open" when we shot it but once it went through a heavy dose of processing it got contrasty and we lost an edge under the model's chin.
We also felt that the image would look better with an edge around the top right (model's left) of the cap. The steps are pretty easy but to make the highlight looks natural may take a little while. However once you have this technique under control you will be able to apply it to other photographs.
For this demo I used the "Pen" tool (p) but any other selection tool could work. This ten minute lesson should open a few doors and if you enjoyed it please let us know and post some of your examples.
